Trademark search should be free to run. So we are making it free!
Five searches a month, for free!
The Digip team is excited to share that our trademark search now runs inside Claude and ChatGPT. You simply sign up, connect it and query. No subscription or card needed.
We are a trademark law firm. Search is where our work starts and this felt like the best next step.
Why free changes what people do
We’ve asked founders how many names they checked before they picked one. Their honest answer is typically one, maybe two. Why? They said because every search had a price and a two-day wait. So they checked the name they had already fallen in love with and hoped for the best.
We also asked in-house counsel teams the same question and their answer is usually based on the number their search budget allowed instead of the number the brand needed.
Free search means you check five names instead of one. You can also check the market you were planning to enter next year, not just the one you are in. Now, your question moves from "Can we afford to find out?" to "What else should we look at?"
What does a free search look like?
One market is one search. Here’s an example conversation:
You: Is NORDLYS available as a trademark for skincare in the United States?
Assistant: Running an advanced Digip search for NORDLYS, class 3, United States. Three registered marks score above the similarity threshold. The closest scores 82 on word similarity with high goods overlap. Two others sit in the caution band. Here is the full table.
You: Now check the same name in China, Korea, and Saudi Arabia.
That conversation is four searches. One name, four markets, four searches. Four of your five free searches for the month, spent in about a minute, across our live registry data from 190+ jurisdictions.
What is a trademark MCP server?
MCP is the open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools, the way USB-C lets one cable serve many devices. When you connect Digip once, Claude or ChatGPT can then run real trademark searches inside your conversation.
What you get and what it means
When you search, the server returns deterministic scores and delivers the same numbers on every run. So it evaluates phonetic, orthographic and semantic matching, on a per-jurisdiction basis.
But it is not a legal opinion. When you feed an assistant a finished analysis, it can only repeat or dispute it. But with clean data it can actually reason with you: weigh results, compare markets, ask the next question.
When a result needs a legal call, you can book a consultation with our attorneys. We’re a global trademark law firm, so we’ve got that covered too.
How to connect
The Digip MCP server address is:

Sign up for a Digip account.
Add the address above as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT.
Start prompting.
Where we are today
There’s good news if you’re looking for more options. Pay-as-you-go pricing for higher volume goes live this month, so you can connect with a Digip trademark expert to discuss additional credits for your account. And you still get your five free monthly searches (that stays).
Next is filing. When it lands, you will search and file in the same conversation. And when you have marks to manage, Legal Hub runs the portfolio: our attorneys, 15+ coordinated local counsel firms, fixed pricing from USD 199 per month.

FAQ
How much does Digip's trademark search cost? Five searches per month are free, permanently. One market is one search. Beyond five you pay per search, with no subscription and no minimum commitment. Get in touch with us to unlock additional search quota.
What counts as a search? One brand in one market. Always. One name checked in four countries is four searches. Four names checked in one country is four searches.
Is the free tier a trial? No. Five searches a month is free permanently, not for an introductory period.
What is a trademark MCP server? A connector that lets AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT run real trademark searches against live registry data. Digip's covers 190+ jurisdictions and is built and operated by a trademark law firm.
What is the address of the Digip MCP server? https://mcp.digip.com/mcp/digip. Sign up for a Digip account, add the address as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT, and ask.
Does an attorney review the results? No. This is search data scored by deterministic algorithms. You and your AI assistant interpret it. When you need a legal opinion or want to file, Digip's attorneys handle that as a separate engagement. You can book here.
Why doesn't the tool give a legal analysis? Because the assistant is the reasoning layer. A tool that outputs conclusions leaves the assistant nothing to do but repeat them. Ours outputs deterministic data so the assistant can reason and you can decide. The legal determination stays with humans.
Is this legal advice? No. Search results are data, not a legal determination. Likelihood of confusion is a legal call, and a search score does not make it.
Can I file a trademark this way yet? Not yet. Filing inside the same conversation is our next release.
